'Ichigo's thoughts'
Ichigo was practicing his attacks for once in a place far away from his division. There was this machine that the 12th division built for him for measuring reiatsu. He was testing his kido. But so far he sucked.
"Hey, Ichi-nii! Yuzu made lunch!" yelled his little sister Karin.
As she got closer, Ichigo noticed that she was wearing a katana on her hip. And she was indeed carrying a few bento boxes.
"Is that a zanpakuto?"
"Oh this. Yeah."
"Oh, what's its name?"
"White Phoenix."
"Oh really? What does it do."
"I don't know."
His eyebrows furrowed with confusion. "What do you mean? Isn't it your zanpakuto?"
"What do YOU mean? I made a bet with a guy named Kai and I won. This is my winning, his zanpakuto for a day. All it's really good for is chopping down doors right now."
Oh. A misunderstanding is…understandable.
"Well, what was the bet about?"
"Yuzu. We bet on who was going to ask her out first. Jinta did. He asked through a letter. Yuzu sent her reply today."
Oh. He lost his appetite now. He now had to speak to a certain person in the human world. He got up.
"Hey Ichi-nii? Where are you going? Aren't you hungry?"
"No, I'm just gonna go to the human world for a while."
"Okay, bring me something back."
A few hours later…
Ichigo stepped out of the gate thinking of what happened.
Talking to Jinta for one went…horrible. He didn't know what Ichigo was talking about until the very end. Then he went crazy and tried to punch him and stuff, then he started to cry and swear.
What was wrong with that kid? Yuzu actually agreed to date him?
"Hey Ichi-nii!" Karin shouted.
"Hey Karin."
"Did you bring me something?"
"No."
"Aww, where were you anyways?"
"In Urahara Shōten."
"Why?"
"Because, I had to tell Jinta just how to treat Yuzu. Since he's her 'boyfriend' now."
Satisfied with his answer, he turned to leave before Karin's voice stopped him.
"You do know when Yuzu sent her reply, she said no. She did say yes to Hanataro though. They're on their picnic right now."
