I vastly apologise for leaving this story for so long. I don't really have an excuse but now that I've found. it again I really want to finish what I started. I'm going to be rewriting the original chapters and then posting them before continuing the rest of the story so hopefully everything will be far better written. Till next time! -High Queen
Prologue
"What! Are you INSANE!" screamed a furious silver haired boy with dark lavender eyes flashing in anger while slamming his fist on the desk, efficiently breaking it in half. A short brown haired girl next to him cringed at the loud noise and her companions obvious anger, while an older man with long golden brown hair reeled back in shock, tears brimming in his slightly darker brown eyes.
"But Zero-kun I think it's a good idea to see if the night class can handle being near other people without guardians there to help them remember. We haven't had any accidents in months and I can't be certain if we're really making progress unless they're out into a different situation." Kaien whimpered out while examining his desk. It was, had been, brand new, the last five have been rid of because they had faced Zero's wrath one too many times.
"I agree with Zero Headmaster Cross. I don't think there quite ready to be moved the US where other vulnerable students plus ours will be in danger due to their ignorance of what the night class is." The girl said trying to stay on the good side of Zero.
"YUUUUUKIIII! CALL ME DADDY!" Kaien cried out childishly while pouting. He acted so much like a child that it was hard for people to believe he was over two hundred years old, not that most people actually knew he was past his late twenties but still.
"Head-Daddy?" Yuuki said nervously.
"YES! My darling daughter! Let me give you a hug!" Yuuki quickly ducked before he grabbed her and his slightly behind Zero's broad body. Kaien mumbled something vaguely sounding like "my daughter doesn't love me," before his appearance suddenly went from childish to serious. "I will not listen to your protests any long-" A loud knock echoed off the ebony doors.
"May we come in?" A low sounding voice flowed through the door to their ears. Zero growled as Kaien said yes. A tall boy looking around 17 years of age came in followed by two shorter blondes. His wavy, chocolate coloured, shoulder length hair was pushed to behind his shoulders and his bangs carefully placed so his red-brown eyes shown through. His white uniform made him seem paler than he already was and his face showed he was deep in thought. Any onlooker would think him a king carefully planning his next move on the battlefield and they honestly wouldn't be too far off from their assumption. On the left side of him a boy a little shorter than the one in front of him. His naturally messy platinum blonde hair shadowed his bright mossy green eyes making them seem innocent and sweet. His face, which usually held a bright smile, was locked in obvious nervousness. His bottom lip held between his teeth. The other blonde had carefully combed through golden locks ending at the base of his neck and his bangs parted just above his icy blue eyes. His white uniform like the others didn't hold a single wrinkle. He stood tall and proud like an oak tree in the middle of a field. His face quirked into a brief smile as he winked at Yuuki causing Zero to glare at him moving his hand under his jacket as a warning.
He instantly paled and shivered as if it was cold remembering his last encounter with the gun known as bloody rose hidden under the black uniform of the silver hair male.
"Kaname-senpai. Aidou-sama. Takuma-sama. What are you doing here?" Yuuki asked, confusion spreading. Although, she mused, the conversation at hand did concern them as they were apart of the night class. Kaname smiled slightly.
"We're here to discuss the school trip I believe you call it? I do not believe it is wise to pair the night class with humans in the way you plan it. Surely you do not actually mean to pair up one HUMAN with one of us and let them live together with the human's family…" Kaname trailed off seeing the look on Kaien's face. He looked dead serious. They all knew the reason why everyone else was so agitated and nervous. The night class was made up of vampires. They looked like angels sent from the gods themselves but truly they were beings who lived and feasted upon human blood. The golden haired boy known as Hanabusa Aidou spoke up.
"Kaien may I ask how you thought of this and why you're going through with it?" He spoke carefully as if this was a big math problem he could figure out with a simple equation. Kaien suddenly turned back into hid childish personality as he recalled what happened.
"Well you see Aidou-kun I ran into an old friend of mine, she just so happened to be on a quick vacation here, who also runs a private academy for humans and vampires in the states. She's much farther along in the human vampire alliance plan. Humans at that school actually know about vampires and the vast majority accept them. The other small percentage are either just jealous haters or narrow-minded fools, but that's to be expected. Once we got to talking she suggested that we combine the two schools together for part of the school year. Of course I agreed right away and we've already made the arrangements AND everyone in this school knows English so there's no way I'm going to back out. You can try and use your pureblood vampire powers against me but I will not give in!" Kaien finished firmly. Kaname sighed in defeat.
"Very well I give in. I just hope this doesn't end in disaster and that you made sure that no one is in danger from this." Kaname replied coolly.
Far into the woods surrounding the small town in North America two horse sized canine shapes could be seen chasing a humanoid form. If one looked closely you would see the bigger of the two canines was pitch black with dark brown eyes, and packed solid with muscle under its gleaming fur. The smaller one in the lead was white with gold markings with molten gold eyes brighter than the sun, it too had muscular body filled with strength but it was far leaner and more built for speed and agility than its companion. The figure they were chasing was actually a level E vampire with eyes the color of blood and inch long fangs ready to drain another victim, but even in it's crazed mind it understood that it was no match for these creatures. No the aura they possessed was far to similar to a purebred vampire but unlike the inherit instinct to serve that usually came meeting the alpha vampires, there was nothing but oncoming death that laid underneath a sweeter scent of human. It was this sweet scent that had originally lured the level E towards them, hoping for a beautiful feast of fresh human body, however this level E would not get to live to do that again. These huge beasts would make sure of that. The two canines pounced on him tearing him apart limb by limb. The venom in their own hollowed out fangs made sure his body would not turn into crystals once he died. They showed no mercy while devouring him alive. When they were finished they howled in victory of another meal, before turning away and heading towards where the level E had been headed originally. Their eyes gleamed in the moonlight as they made their way towards the human town.
