I will refer to Benjamin as Ben and Jessica as Jess.
Finally
Today was the day. He was getting his first Pokémon! Walking to Professor Birch's lab, Little Benjamin Carter was deciding whether to have a Torchic or a Mudkip with his sister.
"But Jess, Torchic turns into Blaziken! Its a fighting type and fire type so it would be great for Roxanne and Brawly's gym's." Sighing Jessica replied "Mudkip is a water type and will be great against Roxanne straight away and it would be excellent for Flannery's gym. But it is your Pokémon so you choose because I think I can see Birch's lab."
Within about five minutes they had reached Littleroot town. It was a peaceful place with Pokémon playing in every corner. Seeing no Professor they decided to ask around. It only took them about five minutes to gather the evidence they needed; he was in the grass outside the town more than he was at home. Slowly they crept into the small forest and heard some one shout. Never ones to leave people in danger, they rushed forward to see Professor Birch getting attacked by a Torchic.
Seeing that people had come to save him, he shouted at them "Do you have any Pokémon?" in return they nodded no " Well, argh, look in the bag there are some Poke Balls choose one and please come help me!" Diving into the bag Ben recognized the three Poke Balls "These are the three starter Pokémon!" Irritated, Jess berated him "Don't awe at them, pick one and help the Professor!" And so he did. Realizing that the Professor was being attacked by a Torchic he remembered the PokéBall that his mother had given him.
Flash Back
"Ok my little Benny, here's your first PokéBall, remember to catch a good Pokémon with this because I got it for you. I want you to take it every where with you until you catch something with it."
End Flash Back
Slowly he took Mudkip's ball out and released him. And then Mudkip looked into his eyes. It's Amber red eyes burning into his Emerald green ones. As if reading his mind it turned into a battle stance and tackled the Torchic. That seemed to be enough for the Torchic as it had wasted most of its energy attacking Professor Birch. Then, as quick as lighting, he threw his Poké Ball. It bleeped red and started rolling and then, on the third roll, it stopped and bleeped once again. "Yes, I caught it" exclaimed Ben and then they turned to Professor Birch.
