Matt tapped his finger on the desk before him, trying to ignore his history teacher's annoying-as-hell voice. Seriously, who cared about who saild the ocean blue in 1942? He huffed and looked at his boyfriend, Mello. 'I guess that's one person who cares,' he thought. But that was one of the reasons that he loved Mello; he was smart but he was also a bad-ass. Of course, if you were to ask Matt why he loved Mello, he could go on for days. He'd write a report on it if he could.
First of all, Mello had to be the most beautiful thing to walk the face of the earth. His perfectly white teeth showed when he smiled and he always smelled like chocolate. Yeah, he could be a snarky bastard, but even his smirk was beautiful. And his hair, which was the color of wheat, shone no matter what lighting he was in. And if you caught it in the sun at the right moment, it looked like he had halo. He had amazingly clear, soft skin and curves in all the right places. But if Matt were to tell him that, he'd not only lose the best and only truly good thing in his life, along with some teeth.
Second of all, he had the best personalty. Mello may seem like a dick if you don't really know him, but you just have to take the time to get to know him. Since he and Matt had known each other for six or seven years, Matt had got to experience both Mello's good, playful side and his bitch-ima-shoot-you-in-the-face side. He preffered the first one. When Mello wasn't pissed and didn't want to kill someone, he was extremely sweet and lovable, like a kitten. He had the best sense of humor and could make anyone laugh, assuming he cared enough to try.
Another thing was his smile but Matt didn't include it in the looks category because it was too perfect to be humanly. Even though Mello sat around all day eating chocolate bars, his teeth were perfect - what anyone in a toothpaste commercial would die to have. They were glaringly white and straight as can be. What was better was that his mouth always tasted like chocolate.
Matt looked away and smiled to himself. His favorite thing about Mello was that he was Mello and no one could change that.
