I Am a Writer for CSI

A/N: This story is not tied to "a specific" writer. I am not affiliated to CBS nor are any of my family members. This is not a true story.

It's not so difficult, most days. Throughout the season, we all have our heads buried in semantics. Only at the beginning of the season do we vehemently argue. The temperature of the room is always too hot, and the heat just adds to the heighten emotions. I can't say that the majority of us want the relationship to develop further. We all call it out as the relationshipbecause it has been the one with us since the beginning.

The time off between seasons sends us all in different directions, with the press hounding us individually. We are told not to give out details. What details! We all have our own thoughts and ideas; it is not until we pull together do they actually work.

It's an even split between those who yell and those who sit down like stubborn asses and cause the rest of us to go into overtime. The word science is written all over the room. "Stick to the science" she keeps saying. In my mind, how can we stick to the science all of the time when characters are people too; or that's what I try to keep thinking.

How would I write about the relationship if it were just me? I couldn't. I am a romantic. It would end up with everyone living happily ever after and that's not television. That is why there are so many of us. Then there are the actors. Some see the show as just a job. Here is your script; read it, follow it, get paid, and go home. I personally find a problem with that.

Where are we going from here? Well it depends on where you think here is. Is here the beginning of the relationship? All of us have agreed that the end of Season Six wasn't the beginning. When we all left the room, the last statement that was said was "the relationship shall be like a rose bush, too much water can kill it, too little will also kill it."

If Grissom and Sara were my friends, I would write them a path along a rainbow, tell them to follow the script and make up the colors as they go. In the end, they are just characters, but we did agree on one thing, the relationship……is canon.
