Rydel's, P.O.V.
Today is the day we tie our lives to each other. Today I, Rydel Mary Lynch am going to be marrying the love of my life Ellington Lee Ratliff. Ellington is my first everything, crush, kiss, boyfriend, date and he will be the only one that I will love forever.
After 3 years of dating him he proposed in the most beautiful way. On a candle lit path he got down on one knee and asked if I would be his for the rest of time. So of course I would say yes, what else would I say? So now 10 months after he proposed our big day has come.
My bridesmaids are my friends Laura, Maia, Vanessa and my maid of honor is my cousin, Lorrie. They all wore pink long dresses because the color pallet of the wedding is pink white and black. The boys were all dressed dapper in their black tuxes with pink ties. Ellington's groomsmen were Riker, Ross, and Ryland. Ellington's best man was Rocky.
My mother, Stormie, was helping my bridesmaids and I get ready. When the girls and I were ready we got in the car and drove to the church where Ellington and the boys were waiting. I got rushed to my private room so Ellington couldn't see me before the wedding. I got all my nerves out before I had to walk down the aisle I had just calmed my nerves when my dad came in the room telling me that it was time.
"Are you nervous?" my dad asked as we were waiting outside the door.
"A little bit." I replied truthfully.
"Well, you'll do fine. Now come on sweetie it's time to walk down the aisle." My dad replied while starting to lead me down the aisle.
That's when my eyes locked with Ellington down the aisle. He looked like he was glowing with his amazingly sweet smile and calming eyes which had tears pricking the corners. Only then did I realize that I had tears of joy in my eyes as well. I can't believe that I am finally going to marry the man I have always loved.
I was so consumed in thought that before I knew it I was down the aisle and was handed off from my crying father to my crying soon- to-be-husband.
(Don't really know how this stuff works so I am skipping to the vows and I do's)
"I, Ellington Lee Ratliff, take you, Rydel Mary Lynch, to be my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part." Said Ellington tear's still in his eyes.
"I, Rydel Mary Lynch, take you, Ellington Lee Ratliff, to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part." I said while wiping away tears.
"Do you Ellington Lee Ratliff take Rydel Mary Lynch as your lawfully wedded wife?" The priest asked.
"I do." He said while looking me in the eyes.
"Do you Rydel Mary Lynch take Ellington Lee Ratliff as your lawfully wedded husband? The priest asked but this time to me.
"I do" I said staring back at Ellington as he did to me.
"Then I know pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Ellington Lee Ratliff. You may know kiss the bride." The priest said.
That is when Ellington and I shared our first kiss together as husband and wife. The kiss was magically fireworks going off just as magical as our first kiss, maybe even more.
The End
