So, what is love anyway?

"Momma, how did you meet Daddy?" A young girl by the name of Hannah asks her mother by the name of Saria.

"Well, Hannah, I met your father when I was…I don't know, I was little. I've known Daddy all my life! We grew up in Kokiri forest together. After he returned from clock town, he wanted us to become a couple, as did I. So we became a couple." Saria told her daughter.

"Why did you want to be a couple, Momma?"

"Honey, your dad and I were in love with each other."

"So, what is love anyway?"

"Love is…Love is very powerful. Love can make even the most stubborn person do whatever it wants! Love makes everyone happy! At least, it makes most people happy. Some people get their hearts broken by love. When two people are in love, and somebody loves one of the two people, then they get sad. Take Queen Zelda for example. She was in love with Daddy. She got her heart broken. Now she rules Hyrule by herself. I know your going to ask why Queen Zelda was in love with a Kokiri. Well, your dad is famous. He no longer fights evil, but Her Highness is still in love with him. But sometimes, having ones heart broken, is the best thing for them! You see, a Kokiri named Mido was in love with me, and Queen Ruto of the Zora's was in love with Daddy. When their hearts were broken, they found each other! Now they're married and live happily together! Love is extremely powerful and is sometimes good and sometimes bad."

"But, Momma, how do you know when your in love with someone or someone is in love with you?"

"Well, whenever your with them, you feel really happy. Your stomach gets all fluttery inside, like butterflies flying all around inside it. You start to get nervous, with most girls, not me though! You find yourself staring at them longingly. You also talk to them more then most people. Another thing is you find yourself dreaming of you two together, or just the person you love in general. Do you love someone Hannah?"

"Ya… I love two people…You and Daddy. But I don't get those feelings at all!"

"Well, the feelings I was talking about, are meant for someone that isn't family. Like, you're my daughter, so I will always love you. Daddy, however, before we got married, we weren't family, we were very good friends!" Hannah smiled. Just then, Link came through the door.

"Hannah! Saria! I'm home!" Link called throughout the house.

"Daddy!" Hannah squealed.

"Hello dear. Did you get anything?" Saria asked her husband.

"Yes, I got myself a new tunic, some bread, corn and some pork for dinner. I also got Hannah a brand new dolly and, for Mommy, a new hair band for your pretty hair." Link said, smiley like he hadn't seen them for a long time, when he had only been gone fifteen minutes.

"Thank you Daddy! I'm going to call her…hmm…I know! I'm going to call her Caroline!" Hannah yelled excitedly. "I love you Daddy. Did you know that Momma taught me all about love?"

"No, I didn't. Well, you know now! Oh my! Its way past your bed time little miss! Come on, I'll take you off to bed." Link led Hannah to her room. Saria was content about the day. The talk with her daughter made her realize just how much she loved Link. She yawned and walked into her room. She closed the door and went to sleep, thinking about her daughters words,

"So, what is love anyway?"
