"Shawn."
"Juliet."
"Shawn." The faint hint of annoyance has become blatant. He's going to push it anyway. It's his most prominent talent.
"Why can't you just admit you like me, and we can move on?"
"What? Are we in the third grade now? You're insane."
"It's been said." He's determined.
"I'm not attracted to you." She's determined, too.
"Yeah," he says. "And I hate pineapple."
She raises an eyebrow.
"You see how this works? I love pineapple."
"Go away, Shawn." She's had enough bickering today.
"Not until you admit it, Jules."
She walks away.
He follows right behind her, determined.
