When Oliver asks to meet his family, Percy nearly breaks a quill. Oliver, meeting his family? Not a great idea.

"No," Percy says, starting to fidget. He can't help it, really—he always has nervous ticks and what Oliver is suggesting is making him really nervous.

"Why not? You were invited to Bill's wedding. What better time?" Oliver reasons, picking up the fancy invitation. "You even can bring a plus one," he reads.

"Yeah, but I'm not going," he says, putting down his quill before he rips it up. He takes the invitation from Oliver and puts in on the other side of his desk.

"You're not going to go to your own brother's wedding?"

"Nope," Percy says as if it's the simplest thing in the world. It's not, in fact, because he wants to go so badly, but he knows that he's lost that right. "They don't want me there."

"They invited you," Oliver argues.

"The audacity of them," he responds dryly. "Probably because my mum insisted."

"I want to meet your family!" Oliver says again, redness rising on his face.

"You know most of them!" Percy shoots back. He's getting sick of Oliver's arguing. He's not going because they don't want him there and that's that.

"I don't know your mum or dad. Or Bill. Or Ginny. Or—" Oliver takes back the invitation and reads the other name. "—Fleur."

"I don't know Fleur either, Ollie," Percy says dejectedly, trying to focus back on his essay for work.

"Then go. To. The. Wedding."

"I won't."

"I want to go," Oliver says, trying to lift up Percy's head to force him to look at Oliver. "I have a right to go, as your roommate and boyfriend."

Percy rolls his eyes. He hates when Oliver plays the 'roommate and boyfriend' card, mostly because it usually ends with him winning.

"Then go," Percy tells him. "Go by yourself, but I'm not going. I can't."

Oliver bites his lip. "Maybe I will," he says, looking dejected.

"Then I hope you know what you're getting yourself into. My family is full of... ebullience."

"I mean," Oliver says, getting up to leave, "it would make it easier if you were there, but..."

"I'm not going," Percy confirms, holding his head up a little higher.
