Title: Four Little Signatures.
Characters: Czech, with mentions of France, England, Slovakia, Prussia, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Poland.
The woman laughed to herself, although the sound was completely humourless. Once again, she was in the same house as Austria and Germany. Once again, it wasn't her choice. Once again, her allies had turned their backs on her. It was like her past followed her, taunted her, blinded her, and lured her into making the same mistakes over and over again.
She snorted, resting her head on the firmly slammed door. Slovakia had left her just yesterday, another ally that failed to keep any promises to stay. Bitter thoughts whirled around her head, and she cursed out loud. She was supposed to be smart, surely she could think of something, anything, that would slow Germany's influence. A rebellion of sorts.
No, she was too weak. Hopelessness drowned any wishful thoughts. She hated feeling this way with all her heart. She hated France and England for putting her in this position. She hated Italy and Germany for thinking of it. She hated Hungary and Poland for taking bits of Slovakia's land. She hated Slovakia for leaving her.
She hated herself for being too weak to hold up any longer.
Cursing, she jumped up and began to pace around the room, each step heavy. Her limbs felt like lead. No way was this actually happening. It was just a bad dream, that's all! When she woke, she would get a call from England and France with promises to protect her, and she'd be in her own house!
... Who was she trying to kid? Czechoslovakia had ceased to exist. She was the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia now. Her allies had all but held the knife to her throat themselves. She wasn't a nation any more. And she couldn't do anything about it until she stopped sulking and figured her thoughts out!
Every ounce of her once massive patience was draining. She kept pacing to and fro, before growling and slamming her fist against the wall, staring down at the ground. She heard Germany yell at her from down the stairs. The sound of his voice made her already boiling blood rage like one of England's potions.
Every sight from that day replayed in her head. Prussia running around, far too happy, cheering about this being 'just like the invasion of Silesa!'. Germany's damn awful boss standing on Prague castle, where her government had ought to have been. Her people having to cave in to the people who happened to have guns.
It won't be permanent, she promised herself. I'll figure out a way to destroy Germany from the inside. Not a full scale rebellion. Not even noticeable until it begins to take a toll. I'll initiate the final part when an ally comes to my aid. One of them will. I just have to be patient and play my cards right.
She scoffed, sitting on the rock hard bed with a scowl.
It was funny, wasn't it?
How four little signatures on a piece of paper could screw over so many people's lives completely.
AN: So, how did you enjoy? I promise they won't all be like this- there will be some happier ones too! I was just researching the Munich Agreement, and now that Czech and Slovakia have official characters and whatnot... Of course, I didn't describe her, or even fit her personality, but that's why it's short. She only appears in a few strips, and who would be completely patient or serious when their country just got taken over?
Anyways, hope you liked it!
