A/N: I saw a Comic-Con Interview on YouTube where Alexander Skarsgård and Kristin Bauer van Straten discuss what Pam would be like if she lost her memory. I was inspired :P Hope you enjoy this silly one-shot. There's no specific time period for this one.

Cookies?

Eric stopped short as he walked into Sookie's kitchen; he wondered idly whether it was possible for a vampire to die of shock.

In the middle of the kitchen stood Pam, clad in a ghastly floral dress and wearing an apron that was splattered with flour. She hummed to herself as she rolled the dough in front of her, apparently in the middle of baking something. Sookie stood to the side watching her with a bemused expression.

"Would someone like to explain to me what the f*ck is going on?" he barked.

Both women jumped, "You should watch your mouth," Pam admonished him before Sookie could reply.

"What are you doing?" he demanded, ignoring her comment.

"I'm making cookies," she replied pleasantly, putting aside the rolling pin to pick up a heart shaped cookie cutter.

"Why?"

"Sookie mentioned that she was going to be minding some children later," Pam gave him a sunny smile, "children like cookies."

Eric's reply was cut off when the oven timer rang, "Oh! My muffins," Pam exclaimed, bustling over to the oven.

Sookie held up her hands in a gesture of innocence as Eric turned towards her, "I swear, I have no idea what's going on," she told him, "I'm just as shocked as you are."

Eric looked back to where Pam was busily putting the muffins on a rack to cool.

"I doubt that," he replied drily.

"Well aren't we Captain Thundercloud today," Pam commented, returning to her cookie cutting.

"Captain Thundercloud?" Eric spat in disbelief.

"I hope you won't still be here when the children come, you'll scare them," Pam added thoughtfully, continuing to cut out shapes in the dough.

"So will you."

Pam looked genuinely confused, "Why would I do that? I love children."

"You hate children," Eric countered.

"Do I?" Pam shook her head, "I think you have me confused with someone else," she replied easily, transferring the cookie shapes onto a baking tray.

Eric turned once more to Sookie, only to have his attention return abruptly to Pam as she started to sing to herself.

"Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows,
Everything that's wonderful is what I feel when we're together,
Brighter than a lucky penny,
When you're near the rain cloud disappears, dear,
And I feel so fine just to know that you are mine…
"

"AUGH!"

Eric sat up with a start, so fast that he banged his head on the top of his cubby hole.

He glanced over to where Pam lay sleeping nearby; he shook her shoulder until she slowly opened her eyes.

"What?" she mumbled.

"You haven't been baking recently have you? Or taken a sudden fancy to children?"

Pam gave him an odd look, "Are you feeling all right?"

"No maternal stirrings of any kind?" he confirmed.

"Go back to sleep," she grumbled, closing her eyes once more.

Eric rolled onto his back and stared into space for a few moments, "I think I had a nightmare."

"I think you've lost your mind."

Eric chuckled, closing his eyes once more, secure in the knowledge that everything was once again right with the world.
