Tears

It glistened off my face
As he walked out the door.
He left me standing there
and I slipped to the floor.

I tried to call him back.
I tried to ask why.
He just started avoiding me more
Ever since he said 'Goodbye'.

I could heard my heart shatter
And I started to cry.
I think he heard it too
Because he slipped up and whipped my eyes dry

He said "I'm so sorry. I didn't want to hurt you"
He told me he loved me
And dared to hope if I would take it as the truth.

But that's when I saw it.
It sparkled from his eyes.
And I couldn't help but fall in his arms and start to cry.

We whispered 'I love you's
And much, much more.
And held each other close
As our tears of Joy fell to the floor.
