A/N: I planned two post two chapters over Christmas, unfortunatly I had assignments to do so one wasn't ready, when I finally uploaded it, I lost the other chapter -which I'm still currently writing, because of course I didn't have a back-up. However, I promise I will give you two chapters either this weekend or next.
But for now here's a poem on Hermione's take of the Battle of Hogwarts in my story Fleeting Eternity Part 2. Enjoy and review!
It's dark and cold these days,
Makes me think if you'd never gone away,
Would it be summer again?
Would it be summer, my friend?
Well, you left and the snow fell like ash from the sky,
All around me bloodied bodies wait to die,
I see remorse in your eyes,
I seek courage in my mind.
It's my never ending winter,
The heaven's threat toward the sinner,
The light is getting dimmer,
And the ice is getting thinner,
Our dead, they will deliver,
Only to dump in the river,
When he calls, his snake will come hither,
Watch his shredded soul coil and slither.
In a battle against our predestined fate,
Where enemy forces come in waves,
Do we fight still or hang our heads in shame?
Whilst knowing those we loved died in vain,
And who will carry us from a world of prejudice and pain?
Who will save us from the wrath of his Mistress Lestrange?
If our savour falls and he does reign,
I will not bow to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
My love, you are on the wrong side, I fear,
Yet, I see the reasons for your betrayal in your tears,
He threatens all that you hold most dear,
And now that we are standing here,
He commands you make your allegiance clear,
I understand now what you said last year,
I can see that the end for us is near.
We stand amongst all he has destroyed,
Our resolve gone, all hope devoid,
As we stare after the body of the dead boy,
But before his armies he can again deploy,
There stands one who acts as an unwitting decoy,
Upon seeing Harry Potter alive, I cry with joy,
But it is not him I love, it is you...Draco Malfoy.
