Looking at the ceiling. That's all he has done for the past few days. Staring at the stars on the ceiling. His companions had long since left. They always said he would stay the longest. Be the last one left. They were right. He prevailed over them all. He made it to the end. The last moments. He gets up. His legs and back complaining from the sudden strain after days of no use. He staggers out of the dark room where he was wandering through his memories. He moves quickly past the bare rooms of his old friends. He tries not to look but he always does. The empty rooms always drags painful memories from their slumber. Ones he was trying until the end to forget. He closed his eyes and quickly walked into the area at the end of the corridor. The large room had three small pictures and one chair around the large table that could have seated many many more. The chairs slowly disappeared, their owner going with them. Slowly fading away. He meandered to the pictures. The first was when he arrived the original 6 were all around him. He felt so welcome here. He instinctively his name and even their names. He looked to the frame on the right. His family. That's what the were. Family, but that time is over now. Gone like it never existed, but it did and until he fade it will continue. The final picture was after the final arrival came to our happy home. He remember her face and everyone loved her immediately after meeting her. She very shy though, that part of her personality stuck out the most to saw a shadow flicker on the edge of my vision,.He looked in its direction. He knows what it is, not the first time this happened. The Shadow of my family. He curses it, screams at it, begs for it to speak but never does. He hates the shadow with every fiber of his being. It dangles in front of him what He will never have again. He feels something inside. He feels, sort of sick, and tired. He smiles knowing what is coming next. He looks at the shadow and, not trusting his voice, thinks I love you, goodbye. He walks to his room past the hall full of ghouls and past the doors of Memory and shuts his door behind him for the final time and before he ever lays down he had joined his dear family in the void.
