Tony, Pepper, and Rhodey were pulling an all-nighter, in the armory, trying to finish a project for Professor Klein's class that was due the next day and they were exhausted. It was assigned two weeks before, but they were too busy with team Iron Man to be able to even start much less finish. It's midnight.
"(Yawn) I'm so tired." Rhodey said.
"Yeah. Me too." Tony said.
"We're all tired, but we have to finish this project for Klein's class." Pepper said yawning.
"So what do we have to do now?" Tony asked.
"We have to mix the chemicals, and write the conclusion on what happens." Pepper said.
"Okay, Tony you mix the chemicals, Pepper you watch and make sure everything goes according to plan, and I'll write the conclusion." Rhodey said.
"Okay Rhodey." Tony said yawning.
"Let's just do it and be done with it." Pepper said.
"I agree." Rhodey said.
"Okay Pepper, get me the veil filled with the red chemical please." Tony asked.
"Here you go Tony." Pepper said.
"Okay here it goes." Tony said.
He put a piece of metal in. The metal stayed intact with no sign of melting.
"Okay now, get me the veil filled with the blue chemicals." Tony asked.
"Okay, here it is. Wait, where's Rhodey?" Pepper asked.
Tony and Pepper looked and found Rhodey fallen asleep in one of the chairs.
"Oh, Rhodey." Pepper said laughing to her self.
"Yeah. I wish we could do that." Tony said.
"Should I wake him up?" Pepper asked.
"Nah. Let him sleep. He'll need some rest when we finish and make him write the conclusion while we rest." Tony said a little mischievously.
IMAAIMAAIMAAIMAAIMAA
"Okay, we're almost done. This is the last one." Pepper said.
"Finally, it's about time." Tony said.
"So we're done?" Pepper asked yawning.
"Yeah. What time is it?" Tony asked yawning.
"It's 2:30 A.M." Pepper said.
"Wow! No wonder we're so tired now." Tony said.
"Yeah. Let's wake up Rhodey." Pepper said stumbling with Tony over to him.
"Rhodey!" Pepper yelled hoarsely.
"Rhodey!" Tony said moving him.
"Uh- what?" Rhodey asked.
"We finished the project, now write the conclusion." Pepper said.
"Okay fine." Rhodey mumbled.
He got up unwillingly stumbled over to the desk.
"Okay, tests 1, 2, 4, and 5 did mot melt and 3 and 6 did." Pepper said.
"What?" Rhodey asked still waking up.
"She said tests 1, 2, 4, and 5 did not melt, while 3 and 6 did." Tony said.
"Okay, I think I got it." Rhodey said rubbing his head.
"You sure?" Pepper asked.
"Yeah. I got it." Rhodey said.
"Okay, well I'm going to sit down for a minute." Pepper said yawning again.
"Tony let's sit-" "Tony?" Pepper called.
"Found him." Rhodey said.
"Where?" Pepper asked.
"Behind you in the chairs." Rhodey said.
Pepper spun around on her heels and found Tony passed out in one of the chairs.
"That's Tony for you." Rhodey said.
"Well I'm going to sit too." Pepper said.
"So, what time is it?" Rhodey asked. "It's 3:45 A.M." Pepper said.
"Wow, I'm going to finish it then go to sleep. Right Pepper?" Rhodey asked.
"Pepper? Pepper? Pepper?" Rhodey asked.
He decided to spin around and look and found her asleep with her head on Tony's chest.
"Those, two. They are so right for each other, why can't they realize it? Okay, I'll do it then I can sleep." Rhodey said to himself while rubbing his eye. He didn't even get two sentences done.
There's a lesson in all of this, DO NOT procrastinate, even if you are a full time super hero. It's a bad idea!
