A poem from Gomamon to Joe, telling him to live life a little. This is part of a sixteen-part poem series (is there such a thing?) that I'm in the process of writing.

Author's notes: Well, here's a poem from Gomamon's POV... he's basically telling Joe to stop being such a sourpuss and live life a little. ^_^

"The Song in Your Heart"

Stars bright above,
Like the song in your heart.
Do you know
What sets you apart?

You look at me
With an expression so cold.
Why don't you set your soul free
And dance to the song of the waves?

Dance to the song within your heart!
Listen to my words, I pray,
Feel the music, don't throw it away!
If you don't know the words, it won't fall apart,
Just listen to your soul, and the song in your heart.

Don't spend your time
Standing outside the fire.
Is it a crime
To feel the heat of the flames?

You call me a fool
To be so carefree.
But have you ever let yourself go
And seen what can be?

Dance to the song within your heart!
Listen to my words, I pray,
Feel the music, don't throw it away!
