Jimmy & the crew of "The Venture" searched a mysterious island...it was charted on the map, but nobody visited it for awhile. Jimmy was like a little schoolboy, curiousty had gotten the better of him...he saw a beautiful diamond-shaped rock, he gently slid down the hill to grab it. When he wasn't thinking, his foot slipped from underneath him & he went tumbling down a hill & off a cliff. Thankfully, he was alive & breathing, but his body was bruised from head to toe. He realized his right leg had been sliced open and that he couldn't move it, he felt for broken bones. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! A painful scream echoed throughout the jungle. Jack Driscoll flashed around to realize that Jimmy wasn't behind him, he ran to catch up with the crew. "Guys, I think I heard Jimmy!" Jack explained. "You're crazy, Driscoll. Jimmy is right with-" Captian Englehorn looked around, and saw no sign of Jimmy. "Listen for him...he'll scream again, I know it!" Jack said quietly. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! The same cry of pain echoed. "Come on, men! Let's find the boy!" Englehorn demmanded. The crew, the captian & Driscoll followed the screams until they came down to the bottom of the cliff, they were in a near state of shock to see Jimmy lying on the ground bleeding. Purple & yellow flesh surrounded the cut on Jimmy's leg, sweat beated down his brow, his breathing was heavy & short. Jack kneeled beside Jimmy & managed to relax the sick lad. "What's wrong with my leg, Mr.Driscoll?" Jimmy cried. "Don't worry, will fix your leg. Relax." Jack whispered into Jimmy's ear. Englehorn looked up to Jack, he looked sad & dismay...Jack knew, almost immetidetley what the situation was. He shook his head "no," but Englehorn nodded & removed his overcoat. "Men, grab a dagger! We have to amputate it!" Englehorn explained to the crew. Jimmy tried to get up & get away, but Jack gently pushed him back down. A stronger crew member ripped a piece of bark off a tree and gently placed it in Jimmy's mouth, while Jack stood by & held Jimmy's hand...in hopes of keeping him calm during the surgery. Faster than you can say "Gee wiz" the sound of cutting flesh began to ring in Jimmy's ear, hot tears streamed his face...He squeezed Jack's hand as the knife grew deeper & deeper into his flesh. Pretty soon, A THUD was heard; Jimmy now had no right leg. The piece of bark was removed, and Jimmy began to cry; Jack hugged close to his chest & carried him back up the cliff & aboard The Venture. Jimmy remembered Mr. Hayes words "Sometimes it's not about courage." Now, Jimmy truly believed that.
