It's been a while since I've written anything, and by a while, I mean 5 years, but who's counting?
I don't own this stuff, and this isn't a full story.
I prefer to write scenes that pop into my head.
He was standing on an unfamiliar porch. His hair considerably shorter than in Fai's memory, but things like that tend to happen when you haven't seen someone in years. He had noticed him looking. Where were they anyway? For some reason, the question never entered Fai's mind. Carefully, he walked to the porch. Hesitating, he slowly climbed the two stairs until they were less than a foot apart. Staring intently to into each other's eyes, Fai didn't know what to do.
"I miss you." Kurogane mumbled, eyes watering.
Fai's stomach churned.
"You've changed." Fai replied coldly remembering how it was Kurogane's fault they hadn't spoken in so long. It was Kurogane that was cold. Yet, nothing about him seemed to be the emotionless man of the past Fai remembered so well.
Immediately, Kurogane's face was void of all emotion. He leaned until his face was inches from Fai's. Fai felt sick. Kurogane's eyes were brilliant. He was slowly tilting his head from side to side. Fai mimicked him. Slowly, they were becoming increasingly close. He could feel Kurogane's hot breath.
Kurogane's lips pressed onto Fai's. Fai submitted for a brief moment before pulling back.
"This is wrong. I'm with someo—" he started
"I know. I'm still with—" Kurogane trailed off. Fai's eyes narrowed as Kurogane continued. "Does it have to be wrong?"
Fai thought about it. He'd dreamed of this many times. Why did he long for something that he knew made him an awful person. Kurogane made Fai a hypocrite. His feelings for that asshole didn't make sense, but they always seemed to win out in the end. Guilt, logic, even self-respect couldn't make Fai do the right thing, even in his dreams.
Kurogane's lips met his again. He allowed it. They passionately kissed as Fai's feelings went crazy with guilt, confusion, self-loathing, emptiness, and satisfaction. Kurogane fit perfectly in his arms, and the heat from his body made Fai aware of how cold he was himself.
