I have known Toph since the 1st grade. We met when Zuko stared picking on me.
"Hey water bender where you going to splash around in the water."
"That is none of your beeswax Zuko." I replied Zuko always teased me and never stopped. I have no friends unless you count Aang but he has a crush on me.
Zuko kept the teasing up until I heard "Hey sparky leave her alone and go play with your fire."
I turned and saw a short blind girl with short hair. She was the only person who helped me in a while apart from my brother.
"Oh yeah and what are you going to do about it shorty." Zuko replied in anger.
"this." she lifted a rock up in the air and it hit him in the forehead.
Zuko got up and ran away I walked up to Toph and introduced myself.
"Hi I'm Katara I'm 7and in the first grade."
"Hi I'm Toph I'm 6 and I'm in the first grade too."
"Thanks for helping me do you want to be my friend?"
"Sure." and we ran off having fun the rest of the day. It was the start of our long-term friendship
