Julie's eyes darted around through the trees as she ran from the noises.
I'm such an idiot! She thought to herself, I'm twenty years old for God's sake! Why on Earth would I accept a dare?!
She gasped, thinking she had seen it again; the faceless creature.
This was like nothing she had ever seen before, tall, maybe eight or nine feet; arms like tentacles; no face or hair, just a white head, like a mannequin.
Breaking out of her thoughts, she realized that she was staring right at the creature, having gotten so caught up in thinking about it, she didn't pay attention.
The last sound she made was a muffled, garbled scream.
