By the time Naruto was 25, Five of the original members of Akatsuki were dead.
Unfortunately, all those years had given the secretive group more time to recruit people just as or more powerful than the now-late members. Three of them had died fighting Naruto, only one of which Sasuke had really been able to help him with.
One died cursing his name.. eyes glazing over slowly as the remaining half of his body continued to stain the sands red with his blood.
The second died in a much more.. explosive.. fashion, the Hidden Rain was tracking down bits and peices of him days after his death.
The third, a woman, died by her own hand. Terror stricken into her heart and mind when faced with Naruto bearing Five tails. She died hoping that the 'demon' in front of her would not carry her to hell as some sort of cruel joke. She died with tears in her eyes. She died clear headed for the first time in decades. Naruto had broken the Genjutsu that kept her blind.
He cried every night for the next four days in horror at the waste of her life.

By the age of 27, Naruto could beat Gaara, fully transformed, without the aid of Kyuubi or Gamabunta.
Both boys were found passed out in the desert four days later, their respective demons keeping them alive despite the lack of water or food after the long, arduous battle for those several days.
Temari kicked Naruto in the head for knocking her brother out. He complained about the headache for a week.

When Naruto reached the age of 35, the Hidden Cloud, Rock, Rain and Sound, now under a new Otokage, had all promised never again to wage war upon Konoha.
Naruto had beaten three of the Villages top Ninja without breaking a sweat. And then soundly pounded the new Otokage into the dust in two minutes flat.
Sakura bopped Naruto on the head for beating Sasuke-kun up that badly. He whined for thirty minutes afterword.
He only noticed that he hadn't heard Kyuubi for the last three weeks afterword, he never would again.

When he turned 40, Naruto was made Hokage when Kakashi finally stepped down. It turned out that his previous Jounin-sensei had been unconciously holding himself back with guilt over Rin and Obito.
Sasuke kicked Naruto in the shin for spotting him in the bushes, secretly smiling, as the Dobe was made Hokage finally.
Naruto punched his shoulder so hard he ended up a decoration on Tsunade's monument with the other Hokage faces.
He apologized repeatedly over the next several hours, saying he didn't know his own strength.
Sasuke sulked and rubbed his ass, glaring at his fellow Kage.

When Naruto was 70, and laying on his deathbed, he allowed himself to be Sealed into his own granddaughter. Just as the Kyuubi had been sealed into him. And just as he had fully absorbed the Kyuubi and it's power, she would absorb him and his power.
So that the Village of Konoha would always have his power guarding it.
The fifteen year old girl was plagued with nightmares for months afterwords.
She became Hokage at age 26.
