Apples Between a Pair
Hatori finds it rather amusing that Kana doesn't like apples.
She laughs and says that, if she did, she never would have met him. But even if that old saying did hold true, they would still have met. She wasn't his patient after all. She was his intern.
And the person he is slowly falling in love with.
But Kana really doesn't like apples, and it's not because apples keep doctors away. And when he points this out she simply shrugs and points out there's always something someone doesn't like.
'For me it's apples,' she says simply. 'They're sweet and sour all mixed in one and they wreak havoc on my taste buds. Pineapples are the same.'
He can accept that. He feels the same way about dates and bananas and those fruits that just drip sweetness.
