Your name is Eridan Ampora, and you've just walked in on the most terrifying thing you've ever seen. The computer lab was full of corpses and you were pretty sure you were the only one besides Gamzee still alive. Gamzee was sober, and all of the trolls were dead. Only two of those deaths were your fault. You had hoped that Karkat was still living somewhere, as his was the only corpse you hadn't seen yet.

However, that hope was quickly squashed when you walked out of the computer lab and saw the mess that had become of the hallway. It was almost completely green, what looked like sopor slime painting the walls and floor. The only other color in the room that didn't come from your clothing was red. Bright red, a single streak trailing through the slime. Upon further inspection, you realized it was the same texture as blood. It must be Karkat's blood, as his was the only troll you didn't know the blood color of. Setting your jaw and straightening your back, you followed it. If Karkat was still living, you had to save him.

But nothing could have prepared you for the sight you found at the end of the trail. It led straight to Gamzee's respiteblock, and when you barged in you had to hold yourself back from throwing up. On a long table in the center of the room were six decapitated heads- Tavros, Kanaya, Nepeta, Equius, Sollux, and Aradia. But that wasn't even the worst sight in the room.

You looked past the table and there was Karkat, chained up to the wall and bleeding from a long gash down his chest. It was shallow, but spanned from his left shoulder to his right hip. He was covered in indigo, and you prayed that it was blood and not what you suspected it was. You stepped closer to the small troll and watched as his eyes fluttered open weakly.

"Kar?" You hated how small your voice was.

"Eridan?" You nodded. "Eridan, go! Go, before he gets back. Eridan please. Please go." He whimpered and it was the most pitiful sound you've ever heard.

"I'm not leavvin you, Kar. I'm gettin you out a there. Wwhere is the key?" You watched in despair as he shook his head.

"I don't know Eridan, just get the fuck out of here!" You stood your ground against his yelling and shook your head.

"Ain't no wway I'm leavvin my flushcrush here."

"You have a flushcrush on me?" The sound of complete innocence and hope in his voice did not fit the situation, and it made your blood pump beat faster than it ever had.

"Havve for a long time, Kar." You stretched to kiss him, conveying all of your emotions through the simple touch. All of your fear and pity was mirrored back to you. "Pity you."

"I pity you too, Eridan." You froze as you heard a soft 'honk' come from somewhere behind you and you tried to look into Karkat's eyes, but they were wide and staring at a point over your shoulder. You turned and whimpered at the sight of the huge indigoblood standing in the doorway of his respiteblock.

"Well isn't that a motherfucking sweet sight. I've been up and looking everywhere for you but now I find you in my motherfucking block the whole time."

"Gam, calm down. He hasn't been here the whole time, he just got here.." Karkat was attempting to sound comforting, but too much of his fear showed through.

"I'll teach a motherfucker to barge into someone's block without permission. Not to mention touching their possessions." Gamzee crossed the room in three long strides and before you knew it, you were being thrown across the room by your cape. You sat up, struggling to catch your breath. You didn't miss the way Gamzee caressed Karkat's cheek, the ghost of what could have been a pale gesture in any other setting. "Now watch the seadweller, Karbro. He needs to be put in his place, and I think I'm just the motherfucker to do it."

Your name is Eridan Ampora, and you are fucked.
