What wonderful parents
The War was over, finally! Katara and the rest of the Gaang were extatic for that very reason. oddly enough not every thing the Gaang thought would happen did in fact haapen.
Zuko had convinced his uncle Iroh to be Fire Lord rather than Zuko so he could learn what to do (since he didnt get the chance to do this before because of the whole 'banishment thing' when he was 12-13). Iroh gladly accepted with the conditions that Zuko be less uptight and stiff. (go Iroh huh?) and that Zuko enjoy the rest of his teen years for in the future Zuko would have to take the throne and those years would be long gone.
Zuko also broke with Mai after a few days-not weeks-days of being together, apparently they had drasticly grown apart. not that either of them really showed any intrest in the already-shakey relationship. they departed on slightly freindly terms; the west library of the fire nation palace was slightly destroyed after an argument by Mai and Zuko-the servants had a lot of soot and shredded paper to clean up.
Sadly the Gaang couldn't stay together forever and slowly drifted apart. Aang was the 1st one to leave on a quest to find other air benders, there was a slight possiblity that the decendants of the Air Nomads had air bending abilities and being the Avatar and apparnt last (known) airbender he left with Suki, Ty lee (Kyoshi was getting boring for them), Haru, and Momo on Appa to scope the world for any air benders.
It also happens that Toph and Sokka were getting closer every day and they werent the only ones....
