Dear Readers,
Although I have given up going online during the week for Lent, I thought I could allow leeway to post something up specifically for Good Friday. I think it may become a tradition of mine. I like sharing spiritual reflections with anyone who has the eyes to read them and the ears to hear them. So I hope you can take what I have to give and get something good out of it. May God Bless You All.
Best Regards from a Bookworm,
Miss Pookamonga ;-P
I Will Take It All...
Take the whip you bear
And lash it on my back
Take the Crown of Thorns
And place it on my head
Take the purple cloak you've sewn
And throw it on the blood I shed.
Take the Cross you built
And lay it on my shoulder
Take the whip in hand
And beat me like before
Take the road you paved with dust
And push me so I fall once more.
Take the Seamless Garment
And gamble it away
Take the nails of iron
And drive them in with pride
Take your vicious lance of war
And thrust it in my wounded side.
Take your words of jeering
And spit them in my face
Take my broken body
And lay it in a tomb
Take the bitterness you've borne
And let it speak its words of doom.
But see that I will take it all
Though sinner and not Son
Because I follow in these steps
And speak so you will See
I carry what we gave to Him
Because I carry Him in me.
