May quickly scribbled her name down on an official-looking form, not even looking as she did so. She capped the pen and pushed the forms back towards the desk attendant, handing over her ID as well. The assistant quickly scanned it, and with the usual peppiness, asked, "Can I see your ribbons?"

May, without saying a word, opened her ribbon case. Five shiny ribbons lay encased in foam. The attendant quickly scanned the ribbons and gave a smile. "Alright, Miss Maple, you're cleared to enter the Grand Festival! Here's a guide on the grounds and a schedule to the events! Make sure your Pokemon have had a checkup and report to the Arena tomorrow at noon!"

May took the booklet and said a quick thanks to the attendant, turning away with her eyes scanning the schedule. Finally. She was here. Just like she promised him, she had earned all her ribbons and was getting ready to enter the Grand Festival-

With a thud, she slammed into someone, his coffee spilling everywhere, soaking both of them. With a snarl, she looked up. "Excuse me, can you see..e..." May trailed off as she recognized the green boy in front of her. "Drew?!"

He flashed a smirk. "Still clumsy as always, I see. Looks like not much has changed, huh May?" Actually, he noticed, a lot had changed, specifically her look.

May wore a red tank top with another, slightly longer frilly black one below. She also wore short white shorts and her same short black leggings, as well as yellow sneakers and a yellow and green fanny pack. She also had a red bandana with two white stripes tied around her head. Around her wrist was a white bracelet. He recognized it immediately. "A Mega bracelet?" He asked her.

May tossed her hair. "Of course! I got it on my journey from this traveling guy I battled against! He gave it to me after I beat his lucario." May bragged. She also had noticed that a lot had changed about Drew as well.

He still had his stupid green hair, of course, but it was done up into forward-facing spikes with teal and white goggles around his head. He wore a white tee shirt with a purple vest, and a teal scarf. He also had on his same teal pants, with white sneakers and purple fingerless gloves. May also thought she saw a glimpse of something shiny around his neck, but... "I assume you'll be using it in battle?" Drew asked, flipping his bangs.

"That's for me to know and for you to find out." May replied.

"Well, you won't be if the coffee keeps running onto it."

May cast a glance at her arm, and sure enough, cool coffee was dripping onto the shiny metal. She quickly wiped it off with her hand and clutched her bag. "Whatever. I'll enjoy beating you tomorrow, when I win!"

"Of course. Who are you using?" he asked, a touch of sarcasm in his voice.

"I'm going to use- Hey! Wait a minute! You're trying to trick me!" she fumed at him.

"Of course." Drew purred, suddenly thrusting a rose in front of her nose.

May blushed. "Huh?! Who-"

"Whichever Pokemon you'll be using in the contest. Since you're so secretive, which is very unusual for a gossip like you."

"Hey!"

"Later, June!"

May fumed as the boy walked out the doors and into the city. She couldn't believe he had the nerve to ask her her own team. But during her travels, she had given much thought to her rival and his roses. And everyone knows what a thornless red rose means.
