Chapter One….Surprises
It all started when I had to move to California. I was living in Montana but my dad received a job transfer. I'm Aj it stands for Alaina Jo.
That's me I always wanted to go to a different state but not since my mom died. She died when I was 7. Now I'm 17. I wanted to always stay home when my mom died. I got mad at my dad but he explained the whole thing. I knew I would have to leave my bff Jinx. Her dad died a year after my mom did and we met in 2nd grade and when I called her she was so heart broken. I felt so sorry for her. After I got off the phone I went downstairs and I fell asleep.
1 Year Later…..
"Aj! Wake up it's you first day at your new school!" I sighed and I got ready. I grabbed my bag and stuff and I ran outside saying "I love you dad bye!" I suddenly saw a black flash. I opened my eyes to find myself on the ground in front of a guy with black hair. "Watch where you're going you moron!" His green eyes flared, I got up calmly, grabbed my bag and yelled "Next time I will when you don't yell in my face!" I tried to see if I had my necklace that my mother gave me before she died but it was gone! I saw the guy pick up something and I realized it might have been my necklace! "Give me my necklace….or else." I looked down with anger and fear. "I don't have any necklaces." I Ran to him and I got in his face. "Heaven forbid you having my necklace! My mom gave me before she died. I'll be your worst nightmare if you have it!" I stormed off before he said anything else.

"Hey Aj!" I turned and saw the guy from this morning and I ran. He chased me until I realized he knew my name. I stopped with my hair in my face. "How do you know my name?" He finally caught up and he something in his hand. Then he looked at me with caring and sadness in his eyes, then he hugged me, tight. "I'm Damian Kert from Montana don't you remember me?"
