He is the only fox of his kind that he knows. It is unknown whether his parents are still alive or dead. However, a brief letter written by his parents not too long ago suggest a strong possibility of some hope in those two lives.
A maroon fox scarred for life a long time ago by a freak accident regarding electricity. A long time ago, just after his parents disappeared, Kishon took up inventing stuff to survive and help with Rushnen and Smakedon.
It didn't work out the way he planned out, and he accidentally knocked over a can of pure water he was planning to use as fuel. He did not notice the single bare wire slowly creeping down to the puddle, and when it made contact, it found its way to Kishon's leg. He was scorched, and in critical condition.
Rushnen, seeing the blast from afar, ran as fast as he could to his brother. Seeing the state of the fox shocked him. A completely black fox, unrecognizable, but that didn't matter. He was carried to Smakedon, who performed Heal on him, and cured him eventually. Even though the singed fur did disappear slightly, he never returned to the blue fox he once was.

After the events of Christmas Spirit, Kishon found a sense of attraction towards Cloud the Rabbit. At first, in the snowy wastelands, Kishon didn't think much of it, only working to protect her fully from any attacks. Even if it meant killing himself. Sikhno was unleashed, and went berserk.
When the microchip was implanted in him, he almost killed Cloud completely, along with Jolt. The real Sikhno emerged from him, and overrode the microchip.
During Binded Together, Kishon really thought about his true feelings for the rabbit he admired. Her pure heart contradicted his dark past. Even so, he admitted his feelings to her eventually, in front of his own brothers. The two developed a strong relationship from then on. He has learnt to accept the fact that what's done is done, and has slowly had a change of heart. Cloud has begun to see the light inside him, and that the darkness even has a form on himself…and her as well. They both believe it was Heaven that made this decision.
He has lost his life over countless times, but after he met Cloud, it was Gabriel who brought his life back in him.
He has a friend and respectful figure in Angel the Hedgehog, another figure that he met in the ARK. As Commander, Angel has led this faithful fox over countless battles.
He doesn't plan on letting her die or resign from the ARK himself yet.
