Yumichika yawned as he waited for Ikkaku and Zaraki-taichou to stop sparring. Which wasn't going to be anytime soon unless Ikkaku ran away like he sometimes did. Yumichika flipped his hair and leaned against a tree (carefully as not to mess up his clothes), then brushed a few strands of stray hair back into their place. He rolled his eyes as Zaraki laughed maniacally and charged towards Ikkaku, waving his zanpakutou above his head. "YUMICHIIIIIIIIIIKAAAA!" Ikkaku was shouting. "Ikkaku, what have I told you about shouting!" Yumichika scolded. "It's not beauti-" Yumichika was pushed out of the way as Ikkaku clambered up the tree, screeching and yelling. Zaraki followed and began hacking at the tree with his sword. Ikkaku began screaming and Yumichika rubbed his temples.

Later on, Yumichika sat down opposite Ikkaku with a first aid kit. He opened it and took out a few bandages. Ikkaku's strong arms had taken a few cuts from Zaraki's sword. Yumichika unravelled a bandage as he listened to a story Ikkaku wanted to share. A story from his childhood in Rukongai, before they met. Yumichika's feathers quivered as he blinked, carefully wrapping the cuts on his friend's arms. Yumichika smiled, and closed the first aid kit and looked at Ikkaku, who was stroking the bandages gently. "Thanks, Yumi!" Ikkaku grinned. "You're very welcome, Ikkaku." Yumichika replied. Ikkaku leaned across the table and captured Yumichika's perfect lips in a sweet kiss. Yumichika's eyes closed as Ikkaku's kiss continued. Ikkaku pulled back and the feeling of Yumichika's lips lingered. Yumichika opened his eyes and blushed softly, a sweet smile gracing his girlish features. Ikkaku chuckled and hugged Yumichika. Yumichika hugged back, burying his face in Ikkaku's shirt. He was perfectly aware his feathers were probably crumpled up by now, but he really didn't care.
