The damp air around you was marked with the scent of rain as you walked down the sidewalk. You were walking back from the market, carrying a load of fresh food in a big, tan paper bag. A few people paced up and down the city sidewalks, and traffic was quite calm than usual.

As a dark, thick clouds expanded over the eerie sky, you panicked, remembering you didn't have an umbrella with you. Oh great. Your heart raced. The food will get spoiled from the wet rain, and it will go bad. What should I do?

Suddenly, a big cold raindrop splashed onto your arm, making a surge of chills rush through your body. Then another freezing drop battered your arm. You glanced up at the gloomy sky to find suddenly millions of raindrops fall from the dark clouds that spread the sky.

You screeched as you became drenched with the cold, evil rain. Running, you dashed towards the nearest building overhead that can keep you dry. For some odd reason, there were no helpful shop overheads to keep you dry. Can anything get any better?

You continued to walk, ignoring the fact that you were drenched with rain. As you walked, you heard accelerating footsteps rushing towards you. You turn around to find a boy with a red umbrella.

"Aiyah!" He shouted, slowing down to put the umbrella over you and him. "You are drenching wet, aru."

You nodded, "I-I forgot my umbrella."

As he approached closer to you, you found out that he had long dark brown hair that was tied in a neat ponytail. He wore a red Mandarin jacket with tan pants. The jacket's sleeves were extremely long surprisingly.

"Well good thing I have a big enough umbrella for both of us, aru." He flashed a grin.

You giggle. "Thank you for doing that."

The boy nodded. "You are welcome. I didn't want you to get too be too soaked with rain."

"Well thank you. My groceries are soaked though..." You laugh, since it was horrible on how you had a big, soaked brown bag filled of damp food.

He chuckled. "Don't worry. Yo-"

A blinding flash of lightning beamed from the sky, followed by a deafening clap of thunder crashing through your eardrums. You screeched, since extremely huge lightning and thunder startles you. Your hand is then hugged by the boy's hand. You feel your cheeks flush as you glance down at your entwined hands.

"S-Sorry for the scream. Thunder and lightning like that just startles me."

He flashes a reassuring smile. "We should go to my apartment, which is just around the corner, until the storm passed through."

You nod, walking with him.
