a/n- Hey guyss! Just sitting here bored and want to write something different for a change. So here's a one-shot story about the little boy who gets hung at the beginning of the third PotC movie. It's from his sister's PoV. Hope you enjoy it! And maybe if enough people like i, I'll continue it into a full story.

Goodbye Forever, My Brother

I stood in a secret place. No one could see me here; and that was a good thing too. I watched as the pirates walked in a straight line to meet their death. They walked up to the gallows seven at a time as the drums kept a beat. The officer would read the same document over and over and over again. It was like he was trying to brain wash the watchers of this terrible act.

"In order to effect a timely halt to deteriorating conditions, and to ensure the common good, a state of emergency is declared for these territories, by decree of Lord Cutler Beckett, duly appointed representative of His Majesty the King. By decree, according to martial law, the following statutes are temporarily amended: right to assembly, suspended. Right to habeus corpus, suspended. Right to legal counsel, suspended. Right to verdict by a jury of peers, suspended. All persons convicted of piracy, or aiding a person convicted of piracy, or associating with a person convicted of piracy, shall be sentenced to hang by the neck until dead." I had the sick thing memorized.

It seemed like forever until the one thing I didn't want to see appeared .My little brother.

The EITC caught the ship we were on off guard and attacked us. They killed my parents and many others. My brother was only one of the people they took to hang. I managed to hide long enough and sneak onto their ship. I went unnoticed; thankfully, and sailed with them to this island. But I had no idea what island we were on. All I knew was that it was anti-pirate, and that certainly was not good.

Guilt set in as I watched him slowly walk up to the noose. That should be me. I should have protected him, but I didn't. I couldn't. He ran from our hiding spot as he watched our parents get murdered. I tried to stop him, but he wouldn't listen to me.

He was far too short to reach the noose, so they stood him up on a barrel. I saw he was playing with something. My best guess was that it was the piece of eight he always kept in his boot. He was saying something, but I couldn't make out what it was. The man next to him starting singing. I then knew what they were saying.

The other pirates stared singing along with them. They started stomping their feet at a steady beat. The rattling of their chains made a chilling effect. The guards started to slowly retreat. I began to gently sing with them.

"Yo, ho. All hands. Hoist the colours high. Heave, ho. Thieves and beggars. Never shall we die." The drums started to speed up; I knew what was going to happen. The masked man puled the leaver that sent the seen pirates to their death. "Ryan!" I screamed, but I knew it was too late anyways.

Goodbye forveer, my brother.
