I definitely don't know where this came from. I think Finn scolded me on grammar, so this is the horrid result. That is, the horrid result of being kidnapped and tortured… by the Grammar Police. Oneshot only.
Finn didn't think anything could happen like this. If this was because of texting throughout the world, he would have the creators of texting sued. If he got out of this alive. He had no money for bail. He was alone in his dark, dank cell, light streaming in, signifying what hope he had left. He barely slept and he felt like he was swimming in disease and dirt. The Kingdom Keepers wouldn't help. They had gone missing, no sign of anything, but the computer screen up, to IMing, which was what Finn had been doing when they arrived.
"F…" someone said. He froze. His eyes darted around the room.
"Who's there?" he said startled.
"F…Fi…Finn…" the voice said again. He peered into the dark, where the voice was emitting from and gasped at who he saw.
"Maybeck! What happened to you?" he exclaimed, thrilled to see his friend.
"Same…thing… as everyone…else. They're… taking over… the world… F…Finn," Maybeck's speech was horrible and Finn wondered what they had done.
"Where are the others?"
"Girl was…" he paused, squinting his eyes in concentration. "Willa… yes… Willa… was here… two d…days ago. T…took her… out… for bail… of ten.. gr… grand."
"Willa got bailed out? By who?"
"I…I think it… it was her… step…step…" Maybeck furrowed his eyebrows, unable to pronounce the word he was trying to say.
"Step what?"
"St… father… step… father," he seemed proud of himself, like it was an accomplishment. Finn hoped it would never happened to him, and wished that Maybeck would get better.
"How did you… end up like this?" Finn asked, worriedly.
"The… th… ch…chair. The chair. Every… d…day you… you're… not bailed… out… you… get… two… m…m.. min… minu… minutes to the chair," he stammered.
"What does the chair do?" Finn asked again.
"V… vio…vo…vl…vul…" Maybeck could not pronounce the word. The door swung open loudly and a man in a black suit unlocked Finn.
"You've been bailed. Congratulations," he said monotonously. Maybeck looked up at Finn.
"B…bail… me?" he asked feebly.
"Yeah, bud. I'll bail you." Finn exited the building where his mother hugged the life out of him.
"What happened in there?"
"Maybeck's injured. He can't speak correctly. Everyday you're not bailed, you get… electrocuted I think… in the chair. Maybeck's been here for weeks, at the least."
"Oh no… what did he do?"
"I think he used the wrong 'you're'," Finn explained, sitting in the car.
"Oh, typical mistake. Never make a mistake again, do you hear me?"
"Oh, I hear you. We have to rescue Maybeck," Finn said distractedly.
"We will, we will. In good time," his mom said, driving away from the police station and Finn could imagine Maybeck's tortured screams from inside the cell.
So bright and happy! Don't mess with the Grammar Police. Serious stuff right there. REMEMBER TO USE THE RIGHT 'YOU'RE'! Okay! Thanks for dealing with the strange oneshot I have composed. What do I do in my spare time? We'll never know.
