NOTE: This story is actually kinda old, but I realised that it didn't really make sense the first time, so it's just been bettered. – by me, so still not perfect, I know. :D
Disclaimer: I own nothing. It hurts to think so. Oh, poor me.

Could You Get That
She lay there in the darkness, the softness of the bed sheets and mattress making her feel warm inside. But that wasn't all that was keeping her warm.
Sara carefully rolled over so that she did not wake him, watching him as he gently breathed in and out, in and out, in and out....... his chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm. She was a great believer in people having the privilege to sleep without being watched, but that was before he let her into his life.
Now she was happy.
No more mind games, no more hints of love and affection, no more pain. Now she could be around him without feeling uncomfortable.
She thought of a time when things were difficult between them; when it was difficult to even look each other in the eye without feeling nervous or scared. When a comment as simple as 'since I met you' would mean the world to her. And when brushing chalk from his face was considered invading his personal space.
Sara smiled at the thought.
But her thoughts were rudely interrupted by the loud, irritating sound of a baby crying.
Waa waaaa waa waaa
She looked over at Grissom as he slowly woke up with a groan. In the dim light she could see him rub his eyes and look around.
Waa waaaa waa waaaa
"It's your turn", she told him with a smile
"No, It's your turn", he groaned in response, before rolling over to face away from her.
"Don't bother trying to go back to sleep. And don't look away from me, either. I went last time, remember?"
"Oh, right. You did too. Sorry."
Waa waa waaaaa waa
Sara lifted herself up into a sitting position and watched as Grissom dragged himself out of bed, straightened his boxers and slipped his feet into his shoes which were kept at the bed side. He wandered over to the other side of the room and began banging on the apartment wall.
In a stern deep voice he boomed: "Hey Tim! It's 3pm. Could you keep your kid quiet? Some people do work night shift! ...Tim!!"
Sara couldn't help smiling at him. The sight of the 'once-thought-gentle' Gil Grissom bashing on a wall trying to keep the neighbours quiet was too funny.
When Sara's neighbour, Tim finally responded and assured them the crying would cease, a satisfied Gil Grissom wandered back to bed.
"Thanks," she said.
"You're welcome. You'd think they'd have some consideration for their neighbours in an apartment, huh?"
He slid off his shoes and lifted the bed sheets with a flick of his arm to allow himself room to slide back in.
"Yeah, but now that Tim and his wife have a new arrival, things can get complicated."
"How do you put up with it, Sara?"
She shrugged and said "Just do."
Grissom smiled at her and slid back into bed.

A/N- This is my first attempt. I know it's short, but please, please, please tell me what you think. Pretty please? It would help out a lot.
A/N#2 – Oh, and by the way. Any mistakes are my own fault.
