Dear diary,
Hermione paused. It was always hard to start writing, even for the cleverest girl.
Still no message from my mother. It has been a long time since she last wrote. I miss her much. Every night, I wish upon a star, hoping that my wish for true love will be blessed. Maybe it is just me, but I believe in true love, and I hope that it befalls me soon. I have written a poem.
Star bright, starlight,
Every night I make a wish,
For happiness inside my heart,
And someone who cares for me.
I wait for him to come,
To be my guiding light.
Every night I wish,
That he'll come with the morning light.
Star bright, starlight,
Please grant my wish tonight.
