Magic at Midnight
Chapter 1
She jolted straight up in her bed, painting
"Oh thank god, it was only a dream" Hermione said quietly to herself. She hadn't noticed all of the other girls sitting up in their beds, rubbing their eyes.
"Hermione, what's the matter?" Virginia Weasley asked Hermione.
"Er- umm, nothing big, I just had a bad dream, about failing my Muggle Studies exam tomorrow. Go back to sleep." She said and looked at her watch, it was then 5:35. "Oh well, I have to get up in 30 mins. anyway."
She crawled out of bed and scrambled into the bathroom and into the shower. When she finished her shower, she got dressed quick and studied a little more for her Muggle Studies test. Her dream had scared her. It was then 5:50 AM. She watched as everyone trampled into the common room and into the bathrooms to take showers and get ready.
She shut her book and waited for everyone to get out and ready, she searched around for Ginny, Ron and Harry. When she found them, they hurried down to breakfast. She saw Malfoy at the Slytherin table. They exchanged smug, snobby looks and returned to their friends.
"What's the schedule for today?" Ron asked as he took a bite of his eggs
"Muggle Studies, then Potions before lunch" Hermione said knowingly."
They all finished up their breakfast and hustled to Muggle Studies. They took their seats as an unfamiliar face walked into the room.
"Class, professor has taken ill, I , Professor Changle will be your substitute for a few weeks until she returns." He said and wrote his name on the board. "Though, this does not change anything, we still have our exams today. Please get out your quills as I pass out the test." He began passing them out.

Hermione was the first one done. She strolled up to his desk confidently and set her paper down. He began correcting it immediately.
"Miss. Hermione Granger, please come up here," he said after about 5 minutes. Hermione walked up to his desk, confused.
"Maybe you should have rechecked your answers, Miss. Granger." He said and handed Hermione her paper. There, on the paper was a big, fat, red "F".
