DM Honey, I Shrunk My Sisters!
The girls were looking at Gru's weapons down in the lab one day when Edith picked up the Shrink Ray. ''How does this work?'' she asked her sisters remembering how she had seen her father use it before.
''No Edith!'' Margo began. But it was already too late. The laser flash from the gun made contact with Margo and Agnes and shrunk them to the size of matchsticks. ''Whoops'' Edith muttered quietly. She put the shrink ray down and hurried away before anyone could see her.
Meanwhile Margo and Agnes had made their way out into the garden. The grass was like a big forest of trees now that they were tiny! Agnes couldn't help screaming when a huge Kyle stood still and she just managed to run away as he started to do his business.
Margo on the other hand was climbing up one of Gru's sunflowers. Agnes started to climb up too, but the sunflower wobbled so much they both fell off onto a bumble bee. They clung on for dear life until they fell off and back into the long grass.
Margo and Agnes lay still breathing heavily for some time until they felt better. There was still worse to come. ''Run hide quickly!'' Margo shouted grabbing Agnes by the arm. Big drops of water began to land all around them. Gru had set up his sprinkler.
He was very unaware of what had happened to Margo and Agnes so he couldn't see them in the grass. Before they knew it, Margo and Agnes found themselves swimming in very dirty water. They kept sinking and gasping for air until they reached dry land.
''We have to get back to the house'' Margo said to Agnes. Agnes agreed. She ran alongside Margo so as to keep pace with her sister. They went into the house and into the kitchen where Gru, Lucy and Edith were eating soup for their lunch. ''What happened to Margo and Agnes?'' Lucy asked.
''I don't know. I haven't seen them all day'' Gru replied worriedly. He didn't feel Margo climbing up him and on his shoulder. Margo walked up to talk into Gru's ear hole, but she lost her balance and fell down from his shoulder and landed right in his bowl of hot soup!
Margo yelped as she hit the boiling gloop. Just then she found herself being lifted up on Gru's spoon. She watched in horror as he opened his mouth which looked so huge as he moved her on the spoon towards his mouth.
''No Dad! Don't eat me!'' she shouted. But to no avail. Margo opened her own mouth and screamed as long and loud as she could until she hurt her throat. It was loud enough for Gru hear it and stop him from eating the spoonful full of soup.
He quickly grabbed a magnifying glass from the nearby draw and held it to the spoon. He stared in disbelief when he could see it was clearly Margo. ''Margo what on earth has happened to you?'' she asked.
''It was Edith!'' Margo shouted ''she was playing with the Shrink Ray and shrunk me and Agnes to this size!''. ''Edith!'' Gru snapped his eyes blazing with fury. He grabbed the Grow Ray from the lab and made Margo and Agnes return to their normal sizes.
''Phew it's good to be big one again'' Margo sighed. ''How many time have you told about touching the lab's weapons'' Gru asked Edith. ''Lots of times sorry'' Edith said with a very sheepish look on her face.
''You can buy your sisters ice creams to say you're sorry'' Gru added pointing outside to an ice cream van. After that I'm sure Edith won't be meddling with weapons again in a hurry. Don't you?
