Disclaimer: Ha, I like having my "name" (disclaimer) in fancy lettering like that. Oh yea… I don't own LOTR. I wish I did though… narrows eyes ITS OURS!!! OUR OWN, OUR PRECIOUS! FILTHY OLD TOLKIENSES STOLE IT FROM US! I swear, that guy (Tolkien, not Gollum) is a genius.

I stood long after the boat bearing Frodo the Ring Bearer sailed from my sight. Staring over the glassy water, but not really seeing it in my own eyes. It swam in and out of focus as tears coursed down my face. Frodo, my given nephew, sailed away. Forever.
After the Ring of Power had been destroyed, Frodo seemed to have a much more free spirit. I wish I could have spent more time with him, I know I'll be wishing this for the rest of my life. My nephew, my friend. Gone. On his quest to destroy the Ring, we were separated He went to Mount Doom, while I went to Fangorn Forest, fought many battles, and saved Merry countless times. But why Frodo? I've still got Sam and Merry, but now Sam's married, and Merry looking for a spouse, it's like they don't have time for me anymore. After the scouring in the Shire, Frodo seemed to have made up his mind to leave … Forever.
Merry
The cart wheeled back towards the Shire, my home , and Frodo's no longer, as darkness fell. Not the kind of darkness that makes you sense evil is afoot, more like a peaceful darkness. I gazed up at the star-strewn sky, thinking about Frodo. Why did he leave us? Why? After all we did for him on his quest, he left forever.
Well, gazing up at the sky, I guess I can't be mad at him. He seemed to be happy to be free from the Ring, go places uncharted. That's were he is now. Forever. I'll miss him. A lot.
Sam
Walking through the Shire, towards my home, my mind strays to Frodo. I didn't want him to leave. He wasn't supposed to leave. Now all I have is his and Mr. Bilbo's book, tucked under my arm. But walking there I decided, losing a friend is like loosing a chunk of your life. But loosing Frodo was like loosing my brother. And letting go is never easy. But I must. So I'll do it, as easy as possible. For friendship. For Frodo.
I cheered up a bit, thinking Frodo set out to save the Shire. And in the end, he saved all of Middle-Earth. Me, Samwise Gamgee, Frodo's gardener, his companion, his friend. I know that wasn't meant, but as long as it's what Mr. Frodo wanted.
All I can wish for, is wherever Frodo is now, he's happy. And always will be.
