We're both heroes, of course we're nothing but the second class kind, always one step behind the boys with their guns and tights.

(just picturing Dean Winchester in tights is revenge enough)

"Son of a bitch! You let the damn thing get way! I didn't need your help in the first place."

Right before I had the chance to land the final blow, add another demon to my growing list (filled to the brim with scum), there was a flash of green and in flew my "hero".

Back then, when I didn't give a damn and no one gave one about me either (mainly Winchesters), the only hero I wanted to fly in and save me was the one that I've been waiting to call for years.

(even though I knew right from the start that it would never happen that doesn't mean I didn't hope)

"Whoa there, I was just trying to help, you looked like you needed assistance and since I was already dressed up I thought I'd assist. Now whats so wrong with that?"

Before I could strop myself, turn into the badass hunter I was slowly becoming (each son of a bitch at a time), I was trapped by his smile, just like Dean had done but this time I knew it would be different.

(less demons more kissing)

"Well, nothing but if you want to be the big damn hero and all, help me catch the stupid thing and I'll forgive you. Deal?"

"Deal! Now what exactly is that thing?"

(that big pearly white grin of his would put Dean to shame)

"Trust me you do not want to know."

With that, as I put off pulling him into my sorry excuse for a life (but with him beside me it was beginning to brighten up), the memory of a call and a kiss that never came began to fade thanks to a man dressed with green leather.

(but even with the green and that smile of his it will be a while before he takes Dean's place)
