Chiaki: Hi everyone! This is my first LotR poem. I think it's pretty bad, but... Shrugs Hope you like it anyway. XD
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Lord of the Rings, as much as I'd like to.
------------------------------
The Tower of Cirith Ungol
He lies awake in the dead of night
And sees nothing but a distant fire's radiant light
Whipped out of conciousness and left to lie on the floor
Full of desperation- he can't take much more
He wonders when this torture will finally end
Because he thinks beyond death his hurts might mend
He carries a burden, a most treacherous thing
And he appears to have lost it for good- the One Ring
His hands tied together, his neck raw with a rash
The Ringbearer continues to struggle and thrash
The binding ropes on his hands won't give way
At this rate he won't ever again see the light of day
Desolate and alone, he tries a last desperate thing;
He thinks someone will hear him if he starts to sing
His voice is hoarse but he tries with all his might
His song echoing emptily into the night
'Though here at journey's end I lie
In darkness buried deep,
Beyond all towers strong and high,
Beyond all mountains steep
Above all shadows rides the Sun,
And Stars forever dwell:
I will not say the Day is done,
Nor bid the Stars farewell'
------------------------------
The last two stanzas are from the book (so don't sue me, preciousss).
