Sighing softly, utterly content, our female protagonist looked at the boy in her arms, his eyes closed and his arms draped limp around her slender waist. She wondered idly whether they could spend their Saturday lying there in her bed in each others arms. She smiled lovingly as she watched his face nested comfortably on her chest. She had never seen him look any more relaxed. Carefully as to not disturb him, she traced over the purple circles under his eyes, over the crook of his nose and lastly on his amazingly smooth lips.
It curved up into a smile and before she knew it his hand had flown up to keep her fingers light on his lips. His eyes opened then, and he proceeded to tenderly kiss each fingertip softly before looking up from beneath his lashes at her. Slightly dazed at his intense gaze, she looked into his smoldering topaz eyes and bit her bottom lip at once knowing it was wrong to hope that he couldn't hear her traitorous heart pounding faster. His musical tinkling laughter filled the room and she knew he could hear it loud and clear especially so from his position. She didn't need to look in a mirror to know her face had gone ablaze with red.
He lifted his lips into her favorite crooked grin and he reached up to press his cool lips on hers. She was sure he could feel her smile as they kissed sweetly. They parted both leaving her breathless, and she closed her eyes as he planted an extra one on her smooth forehead, before returning his head to its place on her chest. His arms constricted tighter around her waist, before his deep velvet voice filled the air.
"I love you, you know that right?"
She smiled, loving the sound of his voice, his love for her laced in the deep yet simple words. She pressed her face into his messy bronze hair and breathed him in before replying, in words she knew would mean so much to him.
"I do."
