A Celebration
Alice smiled looking at the children around her.
It was one of the few times that everyone was gathered in one place even though the war was not over.
It was one of the few joyful moments within the horror of the war. Both Lily and her had given birth within a day of each other, giving the Order something to celebrate about.
The Weasleys were also here. Their hair was strikingly close to orange as the light of the fire reflected onto their hair. Fred and George had managed to get their hands on somebody's wand and were currently colouring Sirius' and Remus' hair different colours without them noticing. It would be extremely amusing once they realized that their hair was currently platinum blonde bordering on white and blood red respectively.
This moment was almost magical in the fact that everyone was happy despite the war raging on outside. It was almost like a scourgify charm had been placed on their memories and their thoughts of anything that was not happy.
She wished it would stay like this forever, like they were covered in a powerful fire-protection potion from the scorching flames of the Dark Lord and his Death Eaters that were almost like fiendfyre in their amount of pure mass destruction.
