No Doubt

A/N: My first Xiaolin Showdown fic. I recently became hooked on the series again. God, I love the feeling of reliving my childhood by watching the same awesome series I did back in elementary school. I had great taste in shows as a kid.

This is a drabble, which means that it's exactly one hundred words, so it's supposed to be really short. This is only my second attempt at making a drabble, and I'm still not that great at it. :/

This is set in the last scene of episode 3, Tangled Web. Pretty unoriginal, I know, but I have a real soft spot for Rai, and this is one of my favorite episodes. I hope I captured the characters' personalities right. This is my first XS fic, so any kind of feedback, good and bad, is greatly appreciated.

Raimundo beamed at his fellow male monks. "I never doubted her for a second," he boasts, as though she's his shiny trophy that's proof of his cleverness. She rolls her eyes at him, but gives him a fist bump nonetheless.

Even so, Kimiko doesn't hesitate sending a dirty glare towards Raimundo when she says, "I'm hoping to get a little more respect around here." He doesn't need to be told twice.

He wasn't laughing because of the tail. He was laughing because respect was all he ever had for her.

…And maybe the tail did make him chuckle a little.
