Hanabi's Nightmare
Hanabi Hyuuga woke up from a terrible scary dream. She went to her father's room.
"Father," she said, "I just had a nightmare!"
"What was it, my non-failure child Hanabi?" her father asked.
"I dreamt that you were forcing me to marry my grumpy cousin Neji in order to increase the strength of the bloodline in the main house!" she exclaimed.
At this, her father started at his feet, discomfort evident. "Well, Hanabi, it's time you learned a family secret." He gestured for her to sit down. She did. "We Hyuugas tried that once. The reason why your sister Hinata is so weak is because her mother, my first wife, was my cousin. But obviously that experiment failed." He lowered his voice and confessed, "That's also why she has seven toes on her left foot." Then his voice rose again andhe laughed fakely and added, "It's a good thing I remarried so that I could have at least one kid who was worth something!"
Hanabi bowed, said, "Thank you, Father," and left the room. She was relieved and happy.
"I am so relieved and happy! This means that I won't have to marry Neji!" she said before skipping off happily.
The aformentioned Neji, however, was just in the bathroom and heard her. He stepped out of the bathroom, toothbrush hanging out of his foamy mouth, and said, "Whaaa?"
