My brother is annoying and that's pretty much it. /spanMy younger sister is obsessed with blue food; I assume she gets that from my dad. My parents, now they're something else. Apparently, they met when they were twelve at some camp in New York and became best friends. They started dating when they where 16. On my dad's 16supth/sup birthday to be exact. According to my parent's high school friends, they were acting like a married couple by the time they were 17. Strangers hear their story and our amazed that they are still happily married and in love. My parents have some weird qualities. My mother is insanely smart. I've never met my grandmother on my mom's side and my grandpa on my dad's side. My parents always say that they're too busy, but send us lots of presents. For starters they never eat bread and butter, claiming that the smell bothers them. Every time we see the stars, my mother stops and stares at them, looking like she's going to cry, which she never does. My dad would always just put his arm around her and say, "We made the right choice. They sacrificed for something." At that point I didn't completely understand it. My favorite quirk about my family is my parent's loyalty to each other and this one song. It first happened on a Christmas when I was very young, 5 or 6 at most. They were dancing around in the living room. The radio softly playing, All I want for Christmas…. When the melody came around they filled in the lines. "All I want for Christmas is you" and they would point to each other. It happened again, when we were at this party for my dad's marine biology company that he worked for. The music drifted softly from the band at the front of the room, the violinist's fingers moving quickly and delicately over the finger board. My mom and my siblings and I were over at the drinks table. When the melody came my mom pointed to my dad across the room talking to his colleagues and my dad pointed right back at her. It was magical. Ever since whenever that song was played they would make sure to point to each other that they truly did only want each other for Christmas that year." - Bianca Jackson 19 yrs./p
