Second Chance
A lone figure sighed as he watched the sun set from Dumbledore's white tomb. He looked down in distress as the light faded form the apocalyptic nightmare that had once been Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The figure ran his hand through his long back hair, pushing it back from his face revealing faded emerald green eyes.
"How long has it been since my last visit Albus?" asked Harry Potter to his beloved mentor, "not since the heartless were released or maybe it was during the wereplagues" he said absentmindedly as he held his left forearm. "Well nonetheless it has been far too long" he thought aloud as he pulled a small blue pouch from his tattered black battle robes and removed a small lemon drop, pop it into his mouth and return the pouch to one of his many pockets.
He sighed again as memory of all that had happened over the last 13 years. The war had become more complicated as Voldemort had allied himself with an unspeakable darkness that had been reborn into the world after Dumbledore's death. So much had happened, so many lost, friends, his love, but that was about to change he thought with determination.
He just hoped that the strange woman was right and this was hachizen or meant to be as he interpreted it.
"Well" he said as he got up and dusted of his robes, "Until we meet again old man." And with that he pulled a tear shaped vile from one of his pockets and downed it one gulp, grimacing at the taste but before he could complain about the taste he felt a familiar yet more powerful tug on his soul as he was dragged into unconscious. On the outside though his body became lax and his eyes glazed over and he fell to the earth. But as his body hit the ground it deteriorated into a white dust just as the last light of day left the disserted ruins covering the land in and eerie darkness with only a few stars to guide one's path.
