Moldova ran into the kitchen to find Bulgaria already mixing chocolates in a bowl.
"Sweets!" He yelled hugging his leg. "No, Moldova, these aren't for you," Bulgaria said as he hoisted him up and placed him on the counter.
"What? No sweets?" He asked staring at the bowl sadly. "I already put yours in the fridge," he said.
Moldova nodded and looked at the different bottles on the table.
"You're putting alcohol in them?" He asked and Bulgaria nodded.
"Are they for big brother Romania?" He asked cheekily.
"They might be," Bulgaria said glancing at the boy.
Moldova giggled behind his sleeves and stood on the counter, reaching for the bowl of cherries.
"Why do you make them like that?" He asked, plopping back down and taking a cherry into his mouth.
"What do you mean?" Bulgaria asked. "Yeah, why do you put alcohol into them? Aren't they fine just how they are?"
Bulgaria sighed and patted his head with a smile. "Because Moldova, the way into a man's heart is through chocolate, and the way into his pants is through alcohol," he said, glittering with inspiration.
"You're naughty, Bulgaria," Moldova said as he ate another cherry. "I'm not the only naughty one. I will have battle scars that prove that after tonight," he said.
"I don't understand you," Moldova said, brushing him off casually as he plucked the stem off his cherry.
"Don't worry, Moldova! I'll score tonight!" Bulgaria said, glittering with pride as he patted Moldova's head again.
"Playing soccer?" Moldova asked.
"No. I'm going to make sure that I capture his cherry though," he said as he popped one into his mouth.
"I don't understand you sometimes. Call me when the sweets are done," Moldova said jumping off the counter.
...
"Happy Valentine's day," Bulgaria said, handing the boxes to the two brothers. "Thank you!" Moldova said before Bulgaria began to push him into his room.
"Yes, now enjoy them with that cool movie you like. What's it called, king of the necklace?"
"Lord of the rings," Moldova corrected.
"Right," Bulgaria said as he turned on the movie and raised the volume really high.
He ran back to find Romania already eating the chocolates. "Wow, Bul. These are really good," he said eating another.
"I made you some too but they aren't this good," he said handing him the chocolates.
Bulgaria had a smile plastered onto his face as he took his wrist. He took the box of chocolates from his hand and tossed them across the room before pulling the Romanian to his room.
"Eh? What are you doing?" Romania asked confused.
"Making my motto true to some extent," he said as he closed the door.
"Bul, you're not making any sense," he said.
"It's okay! I promised Moldova I would score tonight. I can't let him down," he said glittering again with pride.
"What are you promising a kid?!" Romania asked slightly horrified.
"It's okay, forget the chocolates!" He said taking the box from his hand and tossing it a side.
"I was eating those," Romania said with a pout.
"I have something better you can eat," Bulgaria said as turned the lights off.
"Wait. Bul! Moldova is right next door!"
"It's okay, I made sure to full blast the movie."
"Bulgaria!"
