It was any other ordinary day at Torchwood. Jack and Gwen had saved a small town form an outbreak of Weevils and Ianto had just finished making another round of tea.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Now this was very strange for many reasons: 1. Nobody apart from them 3, UNIT and the Doctor knew about the location of Torchwood, Cardiff and 2. It was the middle of the night. Jack glanced at Gwen and Ianto and the tree shared the same confused expression. Jack hesitantly walked over to the door and answered it. A very unexpected sight met his eyes. There, standing in front of him was a teenage girl, about 14. She wore heavy makeup and had her long, brown hair up in a ponytail, with two curls hanging loosely either side of her face. She was tall and slim. Almost too pretty.
"Hello" said Jack
"Hello" replied the girl
"Something you wanted?" asked Jack
"Yeah actually, I was wondering if you knew a man called the Doctor?" she asked, her brown eyes shining.
"Who wants to know?" Jack eyes her curiously. How could this teenage girl know about the Doctor?
"Oh sorry, yeah introductions I'm Sapphire, but people call me Saffy, and you?" she shoved her hand out to Jack, which he accepted.
"I'm Jack, and this is.. "
"Torchwood, yeah I know" she interrupted.
"How do you…"
"Know? Well get to that later, now do you know where the Doctor is?" she interrupted again.
"No I don't" Jack was beginning to get annoyed with the girl, who the hell was she?
"Oh, well can you contact him?"
"No"
"Please?"
"Who are you?"
"I just told you, I'm Sapphire, but some people call me…"
"Saffy, yeah I know that bit but,
where did you come from, where are your parents, how do you know
Torchwood and how do you know the Doctor?"
"Well, I came from
the stars, my parents are dead, Torchwood captures aliens and by the
way, I'm a Time Lord"
