E/O Challenge - Dip. Mild spoilers up to season four. For the sake of the fic, pretend Cas is out of the picture.
Word Count - 200 (according to Word). I couldn't help it. This grew a bit on me.

Watching his brother inhale food was painful.
Watching his brother lose all semblances of manners while eating was horrible.
But watching his brother struggle valiantly to position his empty spoon above the J-ello cup in order to dip it in, was beyond that.
Sam swallowed painfully as he watched Dean's hand tremble and fingers twitch around the plastic handle and had to look away as he took in the expression of childlike frustration coating his brother's face.
The bandage swathed around Dean's forehead stood as a glaring reminder of the wound that had struck the great warrior down. The ferocious hunter was cut off at the knees by, not a vengeful spirit, not a werewolf or wendigo or cursed object or witch or anything else that was a daily part of their life.
No. Dean Winchester, was raised from hell after forty years, was brought about face by a brain tumor.
A fucking brain tumor, of all things.
The irony of the situation all but smashed Sam in the face every time he saw the cloudiness the eyes that used to be chips of green ice.
"Want help?"
Dean looked up.
Shook his head stubbornly.
And missed the J-ello.
Side note - WifeyMcwiferson wanted to know how everyone's pennames came about. I'm quite proud of my penname because it's the same one I picked when I signed up. At that time, I was going through a lot of personal shit and was really losing any intrest in life at all. To the point where I never wanted to get out of bed again. But I'd always liked making up stories in my head, and when my friend mentioned the site, I checked it out and fell in love. I wanted my penname to be the opposite of what I was at the time; strong, so I chose the wolf and added lazer to the front. The 314 at the end came from Buffy, which was a show I always related to when I was younger. And so yeah, that's how I came to be Lazerwolf314.
