A/N: TIIINY, surely soon-to-be cliche-in-the-fandom little drabble. But I like it.

"I'm the only one that gets to see you smile."

And that was it. That was what started it. It was all Kudari's fault, for saying that stupid sentence. After that, Nobori started getting possessive. Not when Kudari was touched, or talked to, or laughing with someone else... but of his frown. Nobori became possessive of Kudari's unhappiness.

Everyone could see him smile. Everyday, Kudari would put on his grin and face the masses. He gave out smiles like candy, to anybody, for any purpose. They were his mask.

But when Kudari's lips began to waver, and his brow drew downwards, and his eyes lost that laughing crease, those moments were for Nobori. So if Kudari ever started to loose his gleam in public, if the mask began to slip around other people, Nobori's heart would twist in his chest, screaming mine. He would find a way to get him and Kudari to a safe place, a place where no one else would see his precious frown.

And to protect it from the prying eyes of those jealous, greedy idiots who existed in the world around them, Nobori would hold Kudari close and kiss his frown away. He dropped pecks on the corners of his lips, feeling them lift beneath his own, and sigh in satisfaction as the kisses deepened, burying his treasure safely away.

And then, without even realizing he was doing it, he'd started the whole vicious cycle over again. Kudari would pull back, look at his face and point out, "You know, I'm the only one that gets to see you smile."
