I really need to go to bed, but I had to write this before I forgot it. Not too fond of the ending, but that's okay. Review please!

Cecily scanned the wall of weapons in the training room. She had tried almost all of them and found that she was best with throwing knives. However, a good Shadowhunter knew how to use all weapons and Cecily Herondale liked to be the best at everything she did.

She took a sword out of its sheath and walked over to the dummies that she'd seen Will use a few times. She gave the dummy an experimental jab in the chest. The dummy remained motionless.

"Maybe a person would be a better sparring partner." Someone said, appearing at her shoulder.

Cecily whirled around and nearly took off Gabriel Lightwood's head. He was holding his own sword, though, and he easily deflected her strike and sent her sword soaring across the room before embedding itself in the wall.

"Don't you knock?" Cecily said crossly.

He smirked down at her. " Well you see, that would rather ruin the surprise portion of my entrance."

Cecily called him something rude in Welsh and yanked her sword out of the wall. Gabriel nodded at the down at the sword she was holding. "You're holding it wrong. Just use your right hand. You'll need your left hand for other things."

"Like this?" She playfully whacked him with the flat of the sword. He rolled his eyes. "Don't be such a child. And straighten your back. Your posture is worse than the cat's."

He pressed a hand to her back and Cecily fought down a shiver. "I'd check your bed tonight. Church likes to relieve himself on the pillows of his enemies."

"I'm quaking in my boots." Gabriel said drily. Cecily frowned.

"You're barefoot."

"Notice how attractive my feet are, did you?"

"They're probably the only attractive part about you."

"A certain girl I know didn't seem to think so when she was kissing me in the stables."

"She must've been a madwoman." Cecily replied staring into Gabriel's piercing, captivating, unattractive green eyes.

"Absolutely." Gabriel dropped the sword with a clatter and leaned down to kiss her.
